Submerged Jet-Impingement Facilities

A typical submerged impingement facility is shown in Figure 6. In the submerged-jet impingement facility, different specimen materials can be tested with varying angles of the nozzle, liquid viscosity, particle sizes, and sand concentration. The facility can provide nozzle velocities of 14 m/s. The agitator helps to keep the concentration constant inside the recirculating loop.
