3-Cell Erosion-Corrosion Flow Loop

This facility can be used for erosion, corrosion and erosion-corrosion, and FeCO3 scale formation studies. The test section consists of 3-Cell. Flow velocity: up to 32.6 ft/s (9.9 m/s). Temperature: 57-93 °C (135-200 °F). Pressure (CO2/N2): up to 150 psig (1.13 MPa). pH (adj. by adding NaHCO3): range between 4.0-7.0. NaCl concentration: range between 1.0-20 wt%. Note: this flow loop handles single and two-phase flows. Measurement methods: Weight Loss (WL) & Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR). Figure 8 presents the schematic of the facility.
